I've never seen any... only a bakery in Westmount offers some.
You could park at a distance on a side street and not have to pay.
Fairmount Bagels NEVER closes, it's 24/7, 365 for over 100 years
yes

Seriously ... what are u also going to question wood/coal fire pizza places too... Lady just stop! & go crawl back in the hole u crawled out of!
Nope
$ 8.25 for 15 from the day before. 5 minutes in the oven also fresh ?
Fairmount Bagel is one of the best original style freshly made bagel shops in Montreal. They come out fresh and perfectly seasoned. Can also buy cre cheese. Prices are fair and service is quick. Went in the winter and they had a large tent over the bagel stop which I can assume is to help insulate it. Highly recommended
Perhaps the best sesame bagel+lox spread I've ever had. And that's compared to all the bagels I enjoyed growing up in New York.
Bagels are yummy and fresh. Open 24/7 what more could you ask for. Be aware it is cash only.
Montréal’s very first bagel shop. The variety is great and bagel quality amazing. Many different types of bagels sold here. Service is friendly & fast. They are open 24/7. You can see them making massive production of bagels there in the back with wood burning ovens.
24/7, year-round fresh bagels. What more could you possibly want?! Not only is this spot iconic because the bagels are so damn good, but the service and hours absolutely make this establishment something I wish were on every street corner throughout the US.
One of the best in the world! This place does it the real authentic way, baked in an old classical oven. Their bagels are Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Make sure to get them warm fresh from the oven! They have different variants and taste (but don't miss the clasical sesame) they also sell creme cheese and other delicious dips. Enjoy!
Classic Montreal bagels. Best to eat them fresh, but the store also provides good bagel storage solutions.
I took dozens of mixed flavours the have and more was cold and hard! I bring the back and they had the only with sesame fresh and hot !! 😳😳😳😮😮😮
OMGoodness these bagels are delicious. We stopped in our trip to Montreal from So. Fl was told about this must stop place. Bagels are cooked in a wood/coal fire oven what a great taste my favorite is the sesame bagel we also tried the blueberry and crispy sweet too. This place is strictly takeout it has no seating at all.
Best bagels in Montreal. I prefer the texture of Fairmount bagels to St. Viateur, it may be a personal preference, but I find the texture of Fairmount bagels denser but moister - if that makes sense.Been getting these bagels for years, and LOVE them. You're not going for ambiance or design here, you're going for the best darn bagels in town! Walk through the tight bagel-stuffed doorway, order at the counter and take away your bagels by the half dozen, dozen, or singles... problem with the singles though, is when fresh, they just seem to eat themselves before you get home!
A delicious bagel- available any hour of the day. We were leaving town on New Year's Day and wanted to snag bagels to take home at the last possible second. The open hours were really helpful for this! Nice friendly service, super quick and they keep people moving.
From NYC so can compare to a decent number of shops. Bagel texture was very good, enjoyed the crisp outside and soft inside. Flavor was nothing special , kind of bland.I would give 3 stars for the bagel itself but taking a star off for extremely rude service. Did not feel comfortable in the shop at all, very unfriendly staff. Also, our food was just placed in the counter when it was ready without anyone telling us it was ours. Person asked what else we needed and said we were waiting for our food. She pretty much laughed at us and got annoyed and said you’re foods right here. Felt like we did something wrong. Felt so unwelcome we went into the freezing cold to eat our bagels.Sorry folks , no good review from me...
Best bagels in Montreal.... St-Viateur is good too... But I just prefer the Fairmont vibe and location
The bagel texture is wonderful and the sweetness is such a tasty surprise. A large selection of different bagel flavors to choose from. The store is tiny so it can get crowded. The store is cash only just an FYI.
Open 24 hours and pumps out fresh and delicious bagels like no other. Non-Montreal bagels will never compare to these cheap but rather delicious creations. There will most likely be a lineup outside, but not to worry as it moves fairly quick. Don't expect a dine-in experience as there will be none. It's an "order, grab, and quickly get" kind of place. That being said, after trying a bunch of bagel shops in Montreal during our trip, this was definitely our favourite spot. Favourites are the everything bagel and sesame bagel. For sure get the cream cheese. Get a mini tub of it in one of their fridges - trust me on this as those personal mini ones they sell are not enough! You will always need more cream cheese. As for the bagel wars in Montreal - St. Viateur vs. Fairmount??? Definitely, without a doubt - Fairmount for the win!
Hit up Fairmount and St Viateur in one day and opted to walk all the way back here to pick up half a dozen to bring home. Tried the plain with cream cheese and the blueberry bagel on its own. Both were good enough to eat without any additional toppings! 😋Note: cream cheese and salmon must be bought separately and assembled yourself. They do not assemble sandwiches.
I used to live in Montreal for about 35 years. Last week I returned for a visit and like usual went to Fairmount Bagel to buy a supply of the bagels that I am missing so much in Toronto. I was very disappointed for the quality, taste and shape of them. They are not the ones that I knew. Did they change the recipe? Also, I ordered without seeds and they gave me the ones with seeds. I will never return there.
Amazing bagels, it was everything I expected and more. Ordered a few bagels, one of them still very warm. Nothing compares to the bagel experience here. Can’t wait to go back over and over again.
Went in on a weekday around 10am and was able to walk right up to the counter. Ordered an original and pumpernickel, both were very good. A must for anyone looking for bagels in Montreal.
Cash only no ATM inside. Amazing fresh bagels, reasonable prices, fast service. An absolute must if visiting Montreal! Not like any other bagels in the world!
I thought it was pretty overrated to be honest. I’m from Long Island and I wanted to see what the hype was about. I ordered a dozen and the sesame bagel was amazing. It was soft, hot, and fluffy. The rest of the bagels were inconsistent. Some were hard and weren’t fresh. Some didn’t have any flavor like the blueberry one. I’d give it another chance if I ever come back but it definitely didn’t live up to the hype.
Great bagels but the staff could be a little more friendly. But I guess they are so busy. But great bagels.
Delicious bagel and kind service! Only small issue was that they said it'd be 10 minutes for all-dressed bagels, but it ended up taking like 30 minutes. Wasn't an issue for me, I had no where to go that day, but I'd be very annoyed otherwise. Just a warning, if they say they ran out, I'd pick something else. Other than that, amazing bagel. All-dressed bagels were very complex in flavor, being coated with salt crystals, fennel seed for a bit of licorice flavor, and having it fresh out was a super delicious experience! Also small note, they don't make sandwiches. You buy the bagel bread by itself, they don't butter or add cream cheese or smoked salmon (not necessarily a bad thing, just warning yall)
THE best bagels I've ever had! They were still warm when I bought and I couldn't help but eat one plain right away. I bought some home for my parents and they absolutely loved them! I wish I bought more cause they disappeared so quickly!! Definitely a must try if you're visiting Montreal!
Only in Montreal you can find 24hour bagel shops open! You’ll find stacks of bagels as you walk in this quaint shop. They make fresh bagels 24/7 on the spot. Service is super quick as they have piles of bagels at their fingertips. Make sure to bring cash as it’s cash only!
Bagel institution of Montreal that is making some of the most amazing bagels you can ever put your mouth around. Small little place that has people lining up inside & out all times of the year. Picked up a dozen sesame (along with some pumpernickel, poppy & everything) that where so fresh, their was steam coming off of them when I got to the car. Also a long cooler full of all kinds of spreads & even day old bargain deals. A must stop on anyone's culinary tour of Montreal.
They pull out bagels, from the wood fire, every three minutes, and it never stops. The bagels are amongst the best you will ever have. You can decide if you think New York ones are better, but this place has people coming from as far away as Niagara Falls, to get them.
